Dr Ali Rashid Al Hassnawi
 
Dr Ali R Al-Hassnawi received his PhD  in Linguistics and Translation in 1999 from Al-Mustnasirriyeh University, where he developed an internationally recognized model for the analysis of shifts in translation (with particular reference to English and Arabic). In 2002, he earned the Fellowship Award of the Translation Programme of Onassis Foundation (Greece), where he accomplished his first post-doctorate degree.  Since the collection of his Masters in Linguistics in 1994, Dr Al-Hassnawi has been teaching translation and other related subjects in many Arab higher education institutions. Beside his academic career, Dr Al-Hassnawi has conducted and published a considerable amount of research, especially on the linguistic theoretical and practical issues in translation between English and Arabic. In 26 August 2006, he was awarded the senior membership of the Translation Standards Institute (TSI) (Australia). He is also a full member of the American Translators and Interpreters Association (ATISA) since March, 2006. He is a contracted expert of translation for QAAET (Quality Assurance for Education and Training, Bahrain) and MNIT (Malaysian National Translation Institute, Malaysia).   He moved to Oman in 2002 to join the Department of English as an Assistant Professor at the College of Applied Sciences, Ibri until May 2008 when he joined the Oman Academic Accreditation Authority (OAAA) (formerly OAC) as a language and translation expert. There, he acquired extensive hands-on experience in quality assurance issues and related areas such quality assurance jargon, audit reports formatting, proofreading and editing.  In addition, he received substantial training on quality assurance in higher education during his service at the OAAA. From. 2011-2018, Dr. Al-Hassnawi worked to work as an Associate Professor running the Language Centre then the Centre of Foundation Studies at the University of Buraimi, Oman. In 2018, he joined OAAAQAE as a QA Consultant and Act. Head of GFPQA Department till January 2021. In, February 2021, he moved to Gulf College, in to be the Deputy Dean –Partnerships, Quality and Register as well as Act Director of the Center of the Foundation Studies at College, Muscat, Oman His research interests include: contrastive linguistic issues, translation pedagogy and training with special reference to genre-specific texts. Recently, he developed further interest in interpreting studies within the framework of cognitive psychology.
 
Prof Glenda Crosling
 
Professor  Glenda Crosling, an academic expert currently  at Sunway University, Malaysia, is  Head, Centre for Higher Education Research, researching and publishing on quality higher education. Recent large-scale projects include British Council-funded reports on higher education internationalisation, ASEAN region. -Previously as Dean, Academic Enhancement, she was member of key university  committees and Chair, Academic Programme Review, leading university-wide initiatives (eg.,student teaching/ learning evaluation/response plan; annual/ periodic programme  review).  She was  Monash University Adjunct Associate Professor, 2012 to 2018.  Prior to this  as inaugural Director,  Education Quality and Innovation,  Monash University Malaysia, she  was campus lead  in the successful  Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) Institutional Audit,  self-accrediting status, and campus Course Self-accreditation System (commended highly, MQA 2011 audit). She chaired the Campus Education Committee and acted as  Deputy President (Academic). Professor Crosling’s academic expertise is evident in  Register of Experts for the Australian TEQSA, (formerly AUQA) and participation  in Australian university audits;  invited MQA Expert Panel Chair and Member, national best practice guidelines and policy ,  trained MQA assessor; programme review member, Lancaster University, UK. She was  member,  Malaysian-Australian Business Council Executive Committee, and Chair,  Education/ Training Sub Committee. She has been Visiting Professor  in Thailand, China, Singapore and Hong Kong; Advisory Board member, plenary facilitator, Michigan State University Dubai’s International Higher Education Conference. She was awarded Sunway University’s special grant to visit Harvard University and MIT, USA.. Professor Crosling has  published extensively in international  books, chapters, and articles in  high-level journals. She is on Editorial Boards and reviews articles for international journals. 
 
Dr Huda Abu Hamdeh
 

Dr Huda is the Associate Dean of Oman College of Health Sciences (OCHS) – Nursing Program. Before that she was the associate Dean of OCHS North Sharqiyah Branch and was the Dean of Ibra nursing Institute during. Before joining Ibra Nursing Institute in 1994, she worked as the Dean of the Institute of Specialized Nursing Studies and the Executive Director of Primary Health Care Nursing Development Project (Jordan) from 1988 to 1994. She started her career as a nursing tutor at the Jordan College of Nursing in 1976, She received her PhD in Educational Administration in 2000. She also has to her credit an MPH degree in 1988. As the Associate Dean of the Nursing Program at OCHS, Dr. Huda has been providing administrative and academic leadership, and she has been responsible for planning, implementation and evaluation of the program. She is a member of the first five-year OCHS Strategic Plan (2021- 2025) Committee. She served as the Academic Director for the Health Academic management System project (HAMS) from Sept 2015 -Sept 2019. She is a member of the Curriculum Evaluation Committee of the nursing program in the MoH.  She is involved in evaluating the nursing program and restructuring processes. She served in the Central Examination Committee of the nursing institutes for about 12 years in addition to being a member of many other national and regional committees. She served the faculty of Nursing at Sultan Qaboos University as an external examiner from 2008 to 2015. Dr. Huda participated in three institutional audit panels, two Institutional Standards assessment and two as a Review Director with OAAA besides being a member of the review team of the nursing programs offered by private higher education institutions in Oman. She also chaired and participated in the program reviewing teams (nursing) in Bahrain. Dr.Huda is a member of the MoH Research and Ethical Review and Approve Committee. She served as a facilitator of research training programs for Medical Doctors organized by the Oman Medical Specialty Board in 2014 and 2015. She organized research-training programs for health care professionals in the North Sharqiyah governorate. She served as a member of the editorial committee and a manuscript reviewer of the DGET nursing periodical “Nursing Education Oman from 2003 to 2008. Dr. Huda’s specific areas of research are Nursing Education, Curriculum Design & Evaluation, and Nursing Informatics.

 
Dr. Patsy Paxton
 
Dr Patsy Paxton, a Higher Education Consultant based in New Zealand, has a PhD in Education, and her academic quality expertise includes over 20 years’ experience with academic quality issues in the New Zealand and South African tertiary education sectors. She is the former Director of the South Pacific College of Natural Medicine in Auckland, New Zealand (2011-2019).  From 2007 – 2011 she served as the Senior Researcher on the South African Norway Tertiary Education Development (SANTED) project, based at the Nelson Mandela University (NMU) in South Africa. Here she was responsible for facilitating the development of coherent approaches to curriculum consolidation as well as appropriate articulation pathways between various programmes. Amongst her many responsibilities as the Academic Director at the Auckland University of Technology (1999-2007), she managed the planning and preparation for the University’s NZUAAU comprehensive academic audit in 2001 and 2006. From 1995 – 1999 Patsy was the Academic Manager at the Waikato Institute of Technology. Before emigrating to New Zealand in 1995, she was a full professor in the Vista University (South Africa) Faculty of Education (1986-1995). Her early years (1974-1986) were spent as a senior teacher of the Economic Sciences (Economics, Business Studies, Commerce). She is committed to academic quality audit and quality assurance principles in higher education and has had extensive experience in conducting academic quality reviews and audits. From her own practical experience, Patsy has a deep understanding of the challenges that often arise when quality management theory and policies are applied to institutions’ daily operations.
