Dr. Christine Mary Boughey
 
Dr Chrissie Boughey Deputy Vice Chancellor, Rhodes University, South Africa Dr Chrissie Boughey spent many years working in the Gulf region, in Qatar, the UAE and Yemen, before moving to South Africa. In South Africa she has worked with the development of teaching and learning in a number of universities and has also contributed to policy and development work at a national level, including work related to quality assurance. She has worked at Rhodes University since 1999 serving as Director of a Centre focused on teaching and learning research and practice and then later as Dean, Teaching & Learning.  In this latter position she was responsible for the leadership of teaching and learning across the entire university.  In 2015, she was appointed as Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic & Student Affairs. As a full professor of Rhodes University, she has researched and supervised extensively and continues to maintain her intellectual work in her position as Deputy Vice Chancellor.  
 
Air Commodore Engineer Muhammad Ismail
 

Presently, Muhammad Ismail is working as Director Quality Assurance at National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS), Rawalpindi since May, 2019. He is dealing with the implementation of the policies/guidelines issued by Higher Education Commission(HEC) of Pakistan, the Pakistan Medical Commission and Pakistan Nursing Council at NUMS. Prior to this, he had been appointed as Head of the Quality Assurance Division of HEC Pakistan as Consultant/Expert Quality Assurance during October2015 to January, 2019. Quality Assurance Division of HEC works for developing and reviewing the quality assurance policies for the Pakistani higher education sector through the recommendations of National Quality Assurance Committee(NQAC) and issuing them after the approval of the Commission. Muhammad Ismail got his Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from Pakistan Air Force(PAF) College of Aeronautical Engineering (CAE) winning NED Gold Medal and Arif-Manzoor Shaheed Gold Medal. He received his Master’s degree in Physics, with roll of honor, from Government College Lahore, Pakistan and MS in Aerospace Engineering, with distinction, from University of Oklahoma, USA. He served in PAF during 1975 to 2005, against different instructional, administrative and staff assignments including faculty member at PAF College of Aeronautical Engineering, Principal of a PAF College, Director of Studies at PAF Academy, Director of Education and Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Education)at Air Headquarters. He was also deputed to King Faisal Air Academy, Riyadh Saudi Arabia during Aug, 1984 to Nov, 1987. Besides several other honors and awards, he is recipient of President’s Award of Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military)(i.e. Star of Excellence-Military).During May 2005 to October 2015, Muhammad Ismail served National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST) Islamabad, as Director Quality Assurance and International Collaborations. At NUST, he dealt with matters concerning implementation of policies and programs for quality assurance/enhancement as per the guidelines of HEC and the and international collaborations of NUST. He also facilitated the accreditation of NUST academic programs by PEC, NBEAC, PCATP, NCEAC and PM&DC. He has conducted several seminars and workshops on quality assurance, as resource person, at national level and has been declared as HEC’s Master Trainer. He is on the panel of accreditation experts of Pakistan Engineering Council and Member of National Panel of HEC Pakistan for Institutional Performance Evaluation (IPE) of Universities and Review of Graduate Programs (RGP). He has conducted several accreditations of engineering programs, university internal quality audits and IPEs as well as RGPs of many Pakistani universities. He has participated and contributed in numerous national and international conferences and has various publications to his credit including contributions in ACU, APQN and QS organized events. Based on his engagement in multifarious activities in the field of quality assurance Muhammad Ismail has been selected as Consultant for Asia Pacific Quality Network (APQN). While being the Director Quality Assurance NUST, he was instrumental in winning the APQN’s Best/Model IQA Award– 2014 for NUST and also won the APQN Quality Champion Award – 2016 for himself while being at HEC Pakistan. 


 
Prof Roger J. Field
 
Professor Roger J Field is formerly Vice-Chancellor of Lincoln University, New Zealand (2004-2012) and currently a Consultant and Director of C&R Education & Consulting Ltd. He was previously Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Lincoln University and held a number of other senior positions including Professor of Plant Science from 1986. He was Chair of Universities New Zealand (2008-2009) and Chair of the Committee on University Academic Programmes (2003-2007), which sets the academic policy and academic quality assurance agendas for New Zealand universities and liaises with a number of Government agencies on behalf of Universities New Zealand. He was an inaugural academic auditor for the Australian Universities Quality Agency (2001-2004), currently an auditor for the Academic Quality Agency for New Zealand Universities and has chaired and/or been a member of audit panels and external reviews in Australia, Austria, Denmark, New Zealand and Samoa. He has been a member of the University Quality Assurance International Board of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai 2008-2020 and formerly a Specialist for the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications. He has wide governance experience as director of education, research and technology-linked companies and supported a wide range of organisations including membership of the New Zealand Government Growth and Innovation Advisory Board (2008) and a member of the Council of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (2008-2010). He has wide international experience and has acted as a technical consultant on education and research issues in many countries in Europe, North and South East Asia and the Pacific. 
 
Dr Saleh Salim Al Busaidi
 
Dr Saleh Salim Al-Busaidi is an Associate Professor of English as a Foreign Language at the College of Education, Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), Sultanate of Oman. He received his BA in TEFL at Sultan Qaboos University in 1995, his MA in TEFL at the University of Exeter, United Kingdom in 1997, and his PhD in curriculum studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA in 2003. He served as the Director of the Language Centre at SQU  from 2010 to 2016. He has also chaired and taken part in many committees and project teams inside and outside SQU. Dr Al-Busaidi has also served on several audit panels. He has participated in the development of the General Foundation Programme (GFP) standards project supervised by the Oman Academic Accreditation Authority back in 2007. Dr Al-Busaidi has also participated in many national and international conferences and symposia. He has published many journal articles and book chapters on a range of topics. His main research interests are: learner autonomy, material development, study/academic skills, academic readiness and language acquisition.
 
Dr Yasmin Shannan Al Balushi
 

Dr. Yasmin Al Bulushi, the first female dean in the private higher education in the Sultanat.  She was the dean of Muscat College, prior to that she was the Assistant dean for Academic Support and Students’ Affairs in the College of Banking and Financial Studies, Oman. She is an educationalist who is passionate about making change in people’s life through education. Dr Yasmin is currently the Project Manager for “Eitmad”,A National project to upskill and empower the  Omani nationals to middle and top management roles in the private sector. She is also the founder and owner of “The Pause consultancies” which provides consultancies in developing human capacity and enhancing quality systems.
