Dr Bilal Khlaf Al Omari
 
Dr. Bilal Al Omari holds a Ph.D. degree in Economics from Bologna University, Italy, in 2003. He obtained his MA degree from Al Bayat University Jordan in 1997 and his BA from the College of Arts at Al-Yarmouk University in 1994.  Dr. Al Omari has taught at various universities in the Middle East and Gulf region.  He taught at Al Margeeb University in Libya from 2003 -2005  as a lecturer, teaching different modules such as; International Business, Principles of  Marketing Practice, Principles of Micro and Macroeconomics, International Finance, and Public Finance.  Dr. Al Omari also worked at Gulf College, Oman, from 2005-2014. He served as a faculty member at the business department, head of the department, and   Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs & Research. He joined Al Biuraimi University College in 2016 to hold the position of Director of Training, Consultancy and Community Services Department and was promoted to Assistant Dean for Academic Support Services in 2018. Dr Al Omari has authored several articles and books and delivered speeches at numerous conferences and meetings in the Middle East and abroad.  He has become the resource speaker of a series of workshops and conferences in Teaching Methods, Managing Practical Classes, Over-Marking, and others. 

 
Professor Mairead Browne
 
After an early career in Ireland at University College Dublin, Emeritus Professor Mairéad Browne held positions at University of Sydney, Kuring-gai College of Advanced Education and University of Technology, Sydney (UTS). She was Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at UTS from 1991-1996 and Dean of the University Graduate School from 1997 until commencing as a freelance consultant in 2001.   Other appointments in quality assurance have included chairing and membership of audit/review panels as well as provision of training and consultancy services for: Australian Universities Quality Agency;  Higher Education Review Unit, Bahrain;  National Council for Academic Accreditation and Assessment, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia;  Oman Accreditation Council; and  Irish Universities Quality Board.   Mairéad has also assisted individual universities with projects and development of their quality assurance arrangement, for example: Flinders University; University of Technology, Sydney; Queensland University; and Witwatersrand University (South Africa).   Other appointments in quality assurance include editor for the 2009 suite of modules in the Graduate Qualification in Quality Assurance sponsored by the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education and delivered by University of Melbourne and New York University.   Earlier appointments include Senior Consultant for the Carrick Institute for Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (now Australian Learning and Teaching Council), 2007-2008; member of the Australian Research Council Appeals Committee 2005-2007; Member of the Council of the National Library of Australia 1992-98, President of the Australian Library and Information Association 2000-2001 and Convenor for 2000 of the Deans and Directors of Graduate Schools.  Awards include Fellow of the Australian Library and Information Association and Emeritus Professor of University of Technology, Sydney. 
 
Dr Mona Kamal Ismail
 
Dr Mona Ismail Responsibilities as Dean of Scientific college of Design included chairing the College Council, providing leadership in improving the quality of education, supervision the development and implementation of the college`s strategic and operational plans. In addition, plan and organize activities for the enhancement of the college such as developing new programs, supporting research, and preparation of college plans and publications. In relation to her initiatives of Quality Assurance, Her  Responsibilities included monitor Academic & Administrative departments as well as College Council Committees; provides leadership in the development of SCD`s Strategic Plan, Operational Plan, and Action Plans; facilitate the work of the College Dean, department chairs and faculty to accomplish their academic mission and provide leadership to the College`s activities toward meeting strategic goals and objectives. Teaching responsibilities includes teaching History of Design, History of Interior Design, Introduction to Islamic Architecture, History of Architecture I, History of Architecture II.
 
Prof. Ramzi Taha
 
Dr. Ramzi Taha completed his B.S., M.Eng., and Ph.D. degrees in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University.  He worked over seven years in various academic institutions in the USA before joining the Department of Civil Engineering at Sultan Qaboos University in June 1997.  From 2005-2009, Dr. Taha served as the Head of the department and from 2010-2012 he served as the Dean of Postgraduate Studies in the university. Dr. Taha`s teaching and research interests include engineering education, sustainable use of construction and recycled materials in highway and building construction, and transportation infrastructure, He has completed more than 25 research projects and has more than 120 publications (journals and conference papers) to his credit.  In February 2012, Dr. Taha joined the College of Engineering at Qatar University and in April 2012, he was appointed as the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the college.  From September 2013 until present, he is serving as the Head of the Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering at Qatar University.Dr. Taha served on many institutional Quality Audit Panels in the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Bahrain.  He also led the initial ABET accreditation of the Civil and Architectural Engineering Programs in the College of Engineering at Sultan Qaboos University.  His application to become a Civil Engineering Program Evaluator was recently approved by ABET in November 2015.
