Dr. Joel Glassman
 
Dr. Joel Glassman is Associate Provost for Academic Affairs, Director of the Center for International Studies, and Associate Professor of Political Science, University of Missouri-St. Louis. He received his Ph.D. in 1974 from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, after completing his dissertation on educational policy in China.   As Director of the Center for International Studies, Glassman provides administrative leadership and exercises responsibility for planning and coordinating the comprehensive international education program of the University, in consultation with the Chancellor, Provost, and Academic Deans. Also, he directs the University’s Office of International Student and Scholar Services which coordinates and provides services for international students and scholars including recruitment, admissions, immigration, orientation, and nonacademic advising. In addition, he is responsible for supporting faculty research in international studies, coordinating and supporting internationalization of the curriculum across the campus, negotiating and administering exchange agreements and relations with foreign universities, directing study abroad programs, promoting faculty development abroad, and developing community education programs with international focus.   He has served as an advisor to the Modern College of Business and Science in Muscat, Oman and the Gulf University for Science and Technology in Kuwait. 
 
Dr. Jurg Bronnimann
 
Dr. Jurg Bronnimann was Director of Higher Education at Batchelor Institute in Australia. until 2020, and is now a private consultant for HE.  He earned his doctorate in German (2002) from Massey University, NZ. Before entering the academic life Dr. Bronnimann was an Air Traffic Controller in Geneva, Switzerland. Dr. Bronnimann has been working in the tertiary education sector (Universities and Polytechnics) over the last 20 25 years. As well as having been He was a lecturer in German literature, language and culture he was and  the Programme Director for the Bachelor of Arts at Unitec in New Zealand, where he was responsible for the development of Majors in German, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese and English as an additional language. Before moving to Bahrain to take up the post as Manager Curriculum Development, at Bahrain Polytechnic, Dr. Bronnimann was the Dean of Teaching and Learning at Unitec, New Zealand. Over the past 10 20 years Dr Bronnimann has been involved in numerous programme development projects from Certificate to Masters Level. He acted as a member of Academic Boards, Ethics Committees, Academic Standards Committees and he was a member of the Steering Committee for Unitec’s University Status Application. In his current role At Batchelor Institute Dr. Bronnimann is was responsible for all programmes and staff in HE. development, cultural training, online technologies development, resources production and literacy and numeracy education.  At Bahrain Polytechnic, Dr Bronnimann co-ordinated the development of all programmes and qualifications, advising on all aspects of purchase of programmes, developing curriculum related policies, developing mechanisms for ensuring quality and integrity of the curriculum as well as providing action plans for continual improvement and development of the curriculum. 

 
Professor Mairead Browne
 
After an early career in Ireland at University College Dublin, Emeritus Professor Mairéad Browne held positions at University of Sydney, Kuring-gai College of Advanced Education and University of Technology, Sydney (UTS). She was Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at UTS from 1991-1996 and Dean of the University Graduate School from 1997 until commencing as a freelance consultant in 2001.   Other appointments in quality assurance have included chairing and membership of audit/review panels as well as provision of training and consultancy services for: Australian Universities Quality Agency;  Higher Education Review Unit, Bahrain;  National Council for Academic Accreditation and Assessment, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia;  Oman Accreditation Council; and  Irish Universities Quality Board.   Mairéad has also assisted individual universities with projects and development of their quality assurance arrangement, for example: Flinders University; University of Technology, Sydney; Queensland University; and Witwatersrand University (South Africa).   Other appointments in quality assurance include editor for the 2009 suite of modules in the Graduate Qualification in Quality Assurance sponsored by the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education and delivered by University of Melbourne and New York University.   Earlier appointments include Senior Consultant for the Carrick Institute for Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (now Australian Learning and Teaching Council), 2007-2008; member of the Australian Research Council Appeals Committee 2005-2007; Member of the Council of the National Library of Australia 1992-98, President of the Australian Library and Information Association 2000-2001 and Convenor for 2000 of the Deans and Directors of Graduate Schools.  Awards include Fellow of the Australian Library and Information Association and Emeritus Professor of University of Technology, Sydney. 
 
Dr. Thomas Heming
 
Dr. Heming completed his undergraduate studies (BSc) at University of Guelph, MSc at University of Victoria, and PhD (Physiology) at University of British Columbia (Canada).  He completed postdoctoral studies in Department of Medicine at University of California, Los Angeles (USA). He was Head of Toxicology for Alberta Department of Environment (Canada) from 1985-1987. He then served as a faculty member, jointly, in the Department of Internal Medicine and Department of Physiology and Biophysics at the University of Texas Medical Branch from 1987-2002. From 2002-2004, he was Associate Professor in Department of Internal Medicine at University of Texas Health Science Center. He joined Oman Medical College in Oman in 2004 and currently is Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Professor of Physiology. The college is affiliated to West Virginia University (USA), where Dr. Heming holds the position of Adjunct Professor, Department of Physiology and Pharmacology in the School of Medicine.   Dr. Heming has played an active role in the Oman Quality Network for Higher Education from the network’s inception and was former Chairman of the Executive Committee. He has considerable experience in quality audits and accreditation reviews, and has served as an external reviewer for the national accreditation agencies of Oman, UAE (Dubai), and Bahrain.
