Prof. Dolina Dowling
 
Dolina Dowling’s career has spanned four decades in the field of education, from primary school to university level. She has held executive positions in higher education institutions. Dr Dolina has considerable knowledge of higher education in the Middle East primarily from having been the Executive Director of the Directorate of Higher Education Reviews of the Qualification and Education and Training Authority (BQA) in the Kingdom of Bahrain from 2008-2014. She is a Quality Award Advisor and assessor for the European Mentoring and Coaching Council. Dr Dolina provides education and management consultancy to both public and private higher education and tertiary institutions as well as quality assurance agencies. She has successfully completed projects in strategic planning, quality assurance and accreditation, change management as well as research planning and capacity building both at the institutional and individual levels. She has extensive editorial experience of books and academic journals. She is the Editor-in-Chief of The Independent Journal of Teaching and Learning of which she was the founding editor in 2006. The journal is accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education in South Africa. She has published widely and has delivered numerous papers at conferences. She holds two diplomas in Education, a Bachelor’s degree, a Master’s degree in Philosophy as well as a doctorate in Philosophy from the University of Glasgow in Scotland.

Mr. Jack Connell
 
Mr. Jack Connell’s current higher education endeavors  include  Higher Education Consulting through his LLC, ConnellONE LLC and Education Specialist for Accrediting Commission for Career Colleges and Schools (ACCSC—2013 Educational Specialist of the Year). Regional Director for Workforce Opportunity Services (WOS), a New York based non-profit workforce training/college access program originally developed as a pilot program at Columbia University and now a national/international program. In addition,  to Member of the Board of Trustees for the non-profit The National Teachers College (TNTC—currently seeking authority from the Ohio Board of Regents) and the TNTC Professional Development Institute Educator-in-Residence training programs.Mr. Connell’s former higher education related work include External Reviewer for the Oman Academic Accreditation Authority as well as Director Special Projects/Strategic Initiatives in the Provost’s Office of the University of Akron (Developed materials/wrote Self-Evaluation Report for NCA-HLC Focused Visit & Proposals to Ohio Board of Regents & NCA-HLC for approval of the MSTechEd distance program).Worked on Interim Degree Approval Committee for the Accrediting Commission for Career Colleges and Schools (ACCSC). Held the position of Director of Academic Affairs for Private Institutions for the Ohio Board of Regents;and Director of Tuition Reciprocity Agreements with contiguous states for the State of Ohio. Worked on Ohio Board of Regents Liaison with the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools/Higher Learning Commission- (NCA/HLC), the US Department of Education (USDE) and the Council for Higher Education (CHEA);In addition to holding the position of Director of the University of Akron (UA)/Akron Public Schools (APS) Collaboration in the College of Education (UA) (University/Public School partnership for enhancing student learning through the development of on-site collaborative activities between School and University Faculty in the Akron Public Schools). Consulting work with the School of Public Policy at Duquesne University (Establishment of a Bachelor’s Degree Program in Conflict Resolution and for implementation of a Pittsburgh-based US Housing and Urban Development project focused on Conflict Resolution training for incarcerated youth in the City of Pittsburgh).Educational achievements include Baccalaureate Degree in Liberal Studies from Antioch University (Yellow Springs, OH); and Master of Arts Degree in Psychology from Pepperdine University (Malibu, CA). A Master of Arts Degree in Higher Education Administration at the University of Akron (integrated within the EdD degree program at UA);PhD Social Science Degree program at Syracuse University (Syracuse, NY) (ABD);Granted a NY State Certificate in Conflict Resolution/Divorce Mediation, and Doctor of Education in Administration Degree program (EdD) at The University of Akron (ABD). 
 
Prof. Ramzi Taha
 
Dr. Ramzi Taha completed his B.S., M.Eng., and Ph.D. degrees in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University.  He worked over seven years in various academic institutions in the USA before joining the Department of Civil Engineering at Sultan Qaboos University in June 1997.  From 2005-2009, Dr. Taha served as the Head of the department and from 2010-2012 he served as the Dean of Postgraduate Studies in the university. Dr. Taha`s teaching and research interests include engineering education, sustainable use of construction and recycled materials in highway and building construction, and transportation infrastructure, He has completed more than 25 research projects and has more than 120 publications (journals and conference papers) to his credit.  In February 2012, Dr. Taha joined the College of Engineering at Qatar University and in April 2012, he was appointed as the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the college.  From September 2013 until present, he is serving as the Head of the Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering at Qatar University.Dr. Taha served on many institutional Quality Audit Panels in the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Bahrain.  He also led the initial ABET accreditation of the Civil and Architectural Engineering Programs in the College of Engineering at Sultan Qaboos University.  His application to become a Civil Engineering Program Evaluator was recently approved by ABET in November 2015.
