Prof. Clive Neal-Sturgess
 
Clive Neal-Sturgess was educated at King Edward VI School Nuneaton, was a Student Apprentice, graduated with a 1st Class Honours’ Degree from Lanchester College Coventry, and took his PhD in the Forming of Tool Steels at the University of Birmingham.  He held the Jaguar Chair of Automotive Engineering 1988-2004, and was formerly Head of Mechanical Engineering at Birmingham.  He has served in numerous bodies within the University of Birmingham, spent 17 years as a member of Senate, and has been a member of Court since 1988.  In 2006 he was honoured by being elected a University Foundation Fellow.He spent the majority of his academic career researching Continuum Damage Mechanics, Finite Element Methods, and the injuries to car occupants and pedestrians in crashes.  He is co-author of three books and over 150 research publications, and a member of the Editorial Boards of three Journals. He is a member of the Parliamentary Advisory Council for Transport Safety, and the European Transport Safety Council. He has been an external examiner at various universities for 20 years including the Universities of Mauritius, Malaysia, and the Caledonian College of Engineering Oman. He has been a quality assurance assessor since 1996, and in 2008 was appointed as a subject reviewer for the UN Development Project at Arab Universities, reviewing Damascus and Helwan Universities in 2008.  He has served as an accreditor for both the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and the Engineering Accreditation Board in the UK since 1992.  He was Chairman of the Panel which reviewed the Engineering Councils (UK) examinations in 2007.  He has been a reviewer for the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, the Australian and Canadian National Research Councils, and is an assessor for the National Teaching Fellowships Scheme of the Higher Education Academy.  He has been a member of the Engineering Professors’ Council for 12 years, and is currently Chairman of the International Working Group. 
 
Prof. Joan Cooper
 

Emeritus Professor Joan Cooper is a Higher Education Consultant. She has an extensive experience in Senior Executive positions in Australian Universities. She retired in March 2012 from the position of Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Students)& Registrar at UNSW which she held for 5 years. She was the first PVC(Students) at UNSW and her primary responsibility was the whole spectrum of theunder graduate student experience – from recruitment through to graduation.  Professor Cooper was formerly Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) at Flinders University. She is a former Dean of Informatics at the University of Wollongong, where she served as Chair of the University Senate, and has held senior positions at the Australian National University and The University of Newcastle. Professor Cooper has wide ranging experience both nationally and internationally in tertiary education accreditation and quality audits. She was appointed an AUQA Auditor in 2004 and in the last 10 years has served on a number of occasions as Panel Chair or panel member of audits and accreditations in both Australia and internationally. Professor Cooper’s most current work involves delivering a variety of Higher Education Consultancy services for HE private providers. Her roles and services include chairing governance committees; reviews of operational areas and reviews and preparation for TEQSA registration and accreditation. Professor Cooper completed her Bachelor of Mathematics (Honours)and Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Newcastle. She was the foundation Professor of Information Technology at Wollongong University, and the first female professor of IT in Australia. In 2003 she was appointed an Emeritus Professor of Wollongong, a title conferred in recognition of her contribution to the University, and in 2004 she was awarded the University of Newcastle’s Convocation Medal for Professional Excellence. In April 2012 UNSW appointed her to an Emeritus Professor. Professor Cooper is a Fellow of ACS (The Australian Computer Society) and was a Foundation member of the Institute of Combinatorics and its Applications (FICA).


 
Dr. Julie Jackson
 

Dr Julie Jackson was a Pro Vice-Chancellor at La Trobe University, Australia for a period of 14years, retiring in early 2016.  She held a variety of portfolios primarily in the areas of quality enhancement, educational partnerships and community engagement.  She led the development of the University quality management framework and the preparations for the AUQA audits in 2004 and 2009 as well as guiding the document preparation for the 2016 TEQSA re-accreditation.  She was a member of the La Trobe University Academic Board for 14 years and was elected to the University Council in 2005. She chaired the University Coursework Committee and the Scholarships Committee.     Dr Jackson served as an Australian Universities Quality Agency honorary auditor from 2002 until 2010. She was also the Universities Australia nominee to the Joint Steering Group for the Australian Universities Quality Forum. With a long experience of accreditation and quality assurance in higher education, she was a Ministerial appointee  to the Victorian Higher Education Advisory Committee from 2000 until 2010.She serves on quality assurance and accreditation panels in Singapore, Hong Kong and South Africa, as well as Oman.  She is also a registered assessor for the new Australian national accreditation agency, the Tertiary Education and Quality Standards Agency. She has been a visiting academic at a number of Australian and international universities and was a finalist in the Australian Awards for University Teaching, Institutional category in 1998.  With five degrees including qualifications in economics, econometrics, quality management and education she has published widely in these areas and has been successful in obtaining Australian Research Council and Cooperative Research Centre grants.


 
Dr. P. Mani Joseph
 
Joseph Mani is Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS), Oman. Prior to joining MCBS in 2004, he had served as the Dean of Faculty of Computer Science & Engineering at Sharjah College, UAE. Joseph received his Ph.D degree from Cochin University of Science and Technology, India in the field of Information communication Technology. He is an ABET IDEAL(Institute for the Development of Excellence in Assessment Leadership) scholar and an approved ABET Evaluator for IT programs (Computing Accreditation Commission (CAC). He is also a Certified EFQM Internal Assessor -Institute for Total Quality Management (ITQM). Joseph is an active member of various professional societies including IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Association), ISACA (Information System Audit and Control Association, New York),ACM ( Association for computing Machinery and Oman Quality Network in Higher Education (OQNHE). He was also involved in organizing various International Conferences (Academic Committee Chair of OQNHE 3rd conference 2015, Organizing Committee Member of IEEE GCC Conference 2015, Academic Committee Chair of OQNHE 4th conference 2017 and Conference Chair of ISACA regional Conference 2017). He is actively involved in the development of International undergraduate and associate degree Information Technology (IT) curriculum as a member of both ACM International IT Curriculum Committee and ACM International IT Education Committee during 2005-09.
