Prof. Dr. Armin Eberlein
 
Prof. Dr. Armin Eberlein is the Deputy Rector for Academic Affairs at the German University of Technology in Oman. Prior to this position, he was a Full Professor and the Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research at the University of Regina (UofR) in Canada. Before joining UofR, he spent 10 years at American University of Sharjah (AUS) in the United Arab Emirates where he was a Professor and held various administrative roles, such as Director of Assessment, Coordinator of Accreditation and Department Head.  Previously, he was an Associate Professor at the University of Calgary, Canada, where he was the Director of the Software Engineering program and one of the Co-Directors of the Alberta Software Engineering Research Consortium (ASERC). His research interests focus on the improvement of software and requirements engineering practices and techniques. He worked previously as a hardware and software developer at Siemens in Munich, Germany, and has consulted for various companies in Germany, the UK, and Canada. Prof. Dr. Eberlein received a Dipl-Ing (FH) degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Mannheim University of Applied Sciences in Germany, a M.Sc. degree in Communications Systems, and a Ph.D. degree in Software Engineering from the University of Wales, Swansea, UK.
 
Prof. Diane Meehan
 
Professor Diane Meehan is an Emeritus Professor of Liverpool John Moores University. She was Dean of the Faculty of Technology and Environment at the University from 2002-2014 and finally retired in 2016 after secondment to the Office of the PVC (Education). She was previously Director of the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences at the University from 1998-2002. She has also worked for Teesside University, North East Wales Institute of HE (NEWI – now Glyndwr University) and Liverpool Polytechnic. Professor Meehan has had extensive experience of quality assurance both within the universities in which she worked, for example chairing validation/review panels and externally as an external examiner and external subject specialist on validation/review panels for other universities. She continues to act as an external subject specialist for universities in the UK having undertaken over 10 validations/reviews in the past three years.  She was a UK Bologna Promoter from 2005-2008 and participated in a Hussain Fund for Excellence/UNDP project for developing review methodologies in the Sudan and Jordan in 2002/3. Professor Meehan is an experienced reviewer for the UK Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) having undertaken over 60 audits/reviews in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland and internationally (in Greece, China, Oman, Bahrain,. Eire), around 12 degree awarding powers scrutinies as well as several of concerns investigations and appeals.  Her roles in Higher Education have involved considerable international activity including in China, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, UAE and Ghana. She is also an approved external auditor for the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Council (QAC). 
 
Dr Hamdan Sulaiman Al Fazari
 
Dr. Hamdan Al Fazari is an Associate Professor who holds MBA Degree in Aerospace Management from Toulouse Business School in France, and a PhD from National Institute for Applied Sciences (INSA) – Toulouse, France. He joined Sohar University in 2013 and was appointed as Pro-Vice Chancellor (Resources), and was subsequently promoted to Deputy Vice Chancellor (Resources) in 2018. Dr. Hamdan was formerly a career officer in the Engineering branch of the Royal Air Force of Oman where he was acknowledged for his distinguished record of experience in engineering, management and academic leadership. He has an established record of experience in engineering, academia, business and leadership. In addition, he has wide experience in education and academic leadership ranging from Head of Department of Further Engineering Training, to Assistant Principal of the Air Force Technical College and Assistant Academic Advisor in the establishment of the Military Technological College. He has held many senior management posts in the field of personnel and administrative services, training, education, personnel development, coordination and planning, quality assurance, and in management and development. Dr. Hamdan is registered in the Oman Academic Accreditation Authority (OAAA) as an external reviewer and he is a fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS).
 
Mr. Kieran Ross
 
Mr Kieran Ross is an Australian educated management professional (Master of Business Administration, Master of Quality Management, PG Certificate in Higher Education and a Bachelor of Economics (Accountancy)) with over ten year’s experience in the Australian Government Sector and almost twenty years international experience within the higher education sector in the United Arab Emirates. Extensive experience, has been acquired, in respect of meeting institutional and/or program accreditation requirements across the Australian, British, United Arab Emirates and Oman national accreditation systems. Mr Kieran Ross has successfully undertaken Managerial roles in both Administrative (Manager of Institutional Research and Quality, Manager of Academic Planning and Policy and as a Quality Manager) and Academic (Lecturing and as Campus Programme Co-ordinator Undergraduate (General Business) fields; with international (Australian and English) and local higher education institutions within the United Arab Emirates. Mr. Kieran Ross is currently the Registrar at the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government in Dubai. Research has focused on marketing in education and identifying factors that provide a deeper understanding of the issues that higher education institutions face in providing a challenging and satisfying student learning experience.
