Mr Humaid Salim Al Wahaibi
 
Humaid Al Wahaibi is an Administrative Director at A’Sharqiyah University (ASU) Vice Chancellor’s Office responsible for Risk Management and the establishment of Center for Teaching and Learning. Additionally, Humaid has established the Center for Professional Development and Continuous Learning, which he managed for 4 years. Before joining ASU, he was the Arabic and Academic Programs Director at AMIDEAST-Oman. Humaid is a teacher of Arabic and English as foreign languages at Nizwa University, Arab Open University and MoE schools.  Academically, Humaid has a B.Ed. in English and Literature from Nizwa College of Applied Sciences (formerly, Nizwa College of Education). Also, he has an MA in Linguistics from the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee in the USA. Currently, Humaid is pursuing a PhD in Higher Education: Assessment, Evaluation, and Enhancement from the University of Lancaster in the UK and, at the same time, an MBA from ASU. Humaid was the chair for the Industry and Community Engagement Standard as well as an active member of the Staff and Staff Support Services Standard for the institutional self-audit and a member of the Staff and Staff Support Services for the GFP audit at ASU. Now, he is an active member of the Governance and Management Standard.

 
Dr. Imran Hameed
 
Dr Imran Hameed holds a PhD in Human Resource Development from National University of Modern Languages, and a Masters in Public Health Management from Mahidol University. He is a medical doctor with specialization in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He has worked in various capacities as a clinician, administrator and educationist in different countries. He shifted from clinical practice to public health management and finally to teaching over the years. He worked as the Head of Department of Business Studies at the Higher College of Technology, in Muscat from 2016 to 2019, and as the Head of Department at Nizwa College of Technology from 2008 to 2016, where he was also leading the Quality Assurance, Health and Safety Units and co-chair of Research. In the past he has served as the Director of Training at the JICA Mother and Child Health Centre; as the Principal of College of Medical Technology; and Director of Children Hospital at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, Islamabad. He has been a consultant for academics to WHO, UNAIDS, UNFPA, UNICEF, JICA, and DFID. His academic publications include midwifery manual for traditional birth attendants, and training material for prevention of parent to child transmission of HIV/AIDS. He has published papers on human resource development and public health in various scientific journals. He is a reviewer and on editorial board of two journals on management sciences.
 
Ms Louise Ragan
 
Louise has over twenty five years international teaching, teacher training and education management experience gained in the UK, Oman, Turkey, Cyprus and China. Following a ten-year career in newspaper journalism and the media, she gained a CELTA, followed by a DELTA and then an MA TEFL. She then trained as a CELTA trainer. For twenty years she was located in Oman, firstly within one of the Sultanate’s private colleges, then as Director of Studies and teacher training manager for a language institute. This was followed by a period within the Ministry of Education as a Regional Teacher Trainer and Advisor before her move to the Centre for Preparatory Studies at Sultan Qaboos University, where she worked within the Centre’s Assessment Unit. Louise has previously been involved in accreditation processes in Oman. She has presented at conferences internationally on teaching issues and she continues to work on teacher training courses.
