Dr Ali Hamdan Al Balushi
 
Dr.Ali Hamdan Al-Balushi previously held the position of Assistant Dean forInstitutional Support at the College of Banking and Financial Studies(2005-2020). The areas of his interest and experiences included areas ofinternational relations, public administration, higher education and training,as well as assessing higher education institutions. He obtained a Bachelor`sdegree from the University of South Carolina in the United States of America1989, a master’s degree in public administration from the American Universityof Egypt 2001, and a doctorate in management from the University of SouthamptonUK. 2017. He has a record of administrative and leadership experiences indifferent ministries before joining the college. Dr. Ali is an academiclecturer who teaches various subjects such as Human Resources Department,Public Administration and public Finance. He attended many training courses,seminars and conferences on management, higher education, leadership, humanresource management, budget control and quality management. He is a trainer inleadership and personal skills (negotiation skills, customer relationsmanagement, customer service and behavior skills. Dr. Ali has a researchinterest in the field of leadership and quality for private higher educationinstitutions in Oman to create an enabled environment in these institutions.His book has been indexed entitled "Creating an enabled environment ininstitutions Private Higher Education in Oman "in both the Library ofSultan Qaboos University and also the Library of the National Defense College.He also has experience in local development, management and quality managementprograms. Dr. Ali Al Balushi is a member of Omani Academic AccreditationAuthority and the Quality education in Oman since 2010. He is also a member of TheArab International Foundation for Education Development, based in the HashemiteKingdom of Jordan.
 
Ms Gweneth O’Gorman
 
Gweneth is currently the Director of Institutional Planning and Effectiveness at Sohar University (SU).  Her previous positions at SU have included: Manager, Quality Assurance, and Lecturer, General Foundation Programme. Prior to working in Oman, Gweneth spent several years working in Italy where some of her positions included Lecturer, Universita Cattolica del Sacre Cuore, Rome, Italy and Lecturer at Loyola University Chicago, John Felice Rome Center, Rome Italy.  Before this she held other positions in banking and financial institutions in the UK and Ireland. Gweneth holds an MA in International Relations and Diplomatic Studies from the University of Leicester, a Bachelor degree in International Affairs from John Cabot University, Italy, a Diploma in Banking and Financial Services, from University College Dublin in collaboration with the Institute of Bankers Ireland, and a Diploma in Business and Marketing, from the Limerick Institute of Technology.  She also holds a Teaching of English as a Foreign Language Diploma from the TEFL Institute Dublin, Ireland. Gweneth is a member of several professional organisations including the Chartered Quality Institute in the UK, and the Project Management Institute.
 
Dr. Imran Hameed
 
Dr Imran Hameed holds a PhD in Human Resource Development from National University of Modern Languages, and a Masters in Public Health Management from Mahidol University. He is a medical doctor with specialization in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He has worked in various capacities as a clinician, administrator and educationist in different countries. He shifted from clinical practice to public health management and finally to teaching over the years. He worked as the Head of Department of Business Studies at the Higher College of Technology, in Muscat from 2016 to 2019, and as the Head of Department at Nizwa College of Technology from 2008 to 2016, where he was also leading the Quality Assurance, Health and Safety Units and co-chair of Research. In the past he has served as the Director of Training at the JICA Mother and Child Health Centre; as the Principal of College of Medical Technology; and Director of Children Hospital at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, Islamabad. He has been a consultant for academics to WHO, UNAIDS, UNFPA, UNICEF, JICA, and DFID. His academic publications include midwifery manual for traditional birth attendants, and training material for prevention of parent to child transmission of HIV/AIDS. He has published papers on human resource development and public health in various scientific journals. He is a reviewer and on editorial board of two journals on management sciences.
 
Dr. Louis van der Westhuizen
 
Louis van der Westhuizen holds a doctoral degree in History from the University of the Free State in South Africa. He is currently the Executive Manager in the Office of the Vice-Rector: Open and Lifelong Learning & Innovation in Higher Education based on the South Campus of the University of the Free State (UFS). Prior to this position he acted as the head of the institutional Directorate for Institutional Research and Academic Planning at the UFS, focusing on academic planning, quality assurance, management information and institutional research. He is a trained institutional auditor under the official South African National Higher Education Quality Committee (HEQC) institutional audit system, and served as an international reviewer in Namibia. Over years he has conducted extensive research on different topics for the University since 1980, as well as research projects for the HEQC of the Council on Higher Education during the establishment of the Committee. Since 2008 he also acted as the Technical Advisor for the Higher Education Quality Management Initiative for Southern Africa (HEQMISA) working in various countries in the Southern Africa Development Community to develop quality assurance expertise in higher education institutions. Over time he has written extensively and presented papers (nationally and internationally) on quality assurance, self-evaluation, curriculum development, programme planning, strategic planning, management, leadership and performance management. 
 
Prof. Marios Katsioloudes
 


Professor Katsioloudes holds a PhD in Management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in Strategy and International Business. He is currently a professor of Management at Qatar University, where he teaches strategic management, international business and entrepreneurship courses at the undergraduate and MBA levels. Throughout his 34-year career, Professor Katsioloudes has taught in a number of universities, including Coastal Carolina University, West Chester University of Pennsylvania, Saint Josephs’ University, Villanova University, USA; the American University of Sharjah, UAE, Abu Dhabi University, UAE, and the Hellenic American University in Greece. He is a visiting professor to the University of Cyprus, Galen University in Belize, Linkoping University in Sweden, EDHEC Business School in France, Tulane University in the USA, HEC-Paris in Qatar, and The Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania, Greece.  He has worked for the Cyprus Development Bank and the World Bank. He provided consulting services to SMEs in Cyprus, the US, Libya, Greece, the UAE, Qatar, and elsewhere. His research focuses on the strategic planning process in the for-profit and nonprofit sectors, SMEs, entrepreneurship, as well as on the management of change and innovation. He has authored/co-authored five books, and recently he has signed a contract with Routledge for a second edition for his strategic management book. He published over 34 articles (including three cases studies) and 72 conference proceedings on strategic management, international business and small business management. He has been a reviewer for Universities in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
