Dr Ali Hamdan Al Balushi
 
Dr.Ali Hamdan Al-Balushi previously held the position of Assistant Dean forInstitutional Support at the College of Banking and Financial Studies(2005-2020). The areas of his interest and experiences included areas ofinternational relations, public administration, higher education and training,as well as assessing higher education institutions. He obtained a Bachelor`sdegree from the University of South Carolina in the United States of America1989, a master’s degree in public administration from the American Universityof Egypt 2001, and a doctorate in management from the University of SouthamptonUK. 2017. He has a record of administrative and leadership experiences indifferent ministries before joining the college. Dr. Ali is an academiclecturer who teaches various subjects such as Human Resources Department,Public Administration and public Finance. He attended many training courses,seminars and conferences on management, higher education, leadership, humanresource management, budget control and quality management. He is a trainer inleadership and personal skills (negotiation skills, customer relationsmanagement, customer service and behavior skills. Dr. Ali has a researchinterest in the field of leadership and quality for private higher educationinstitutions in Oman to create an enabled environment in these institutions.His book has been indexed entitled "Creating an enabled environment ininstitutions Private Higher Education in Oman "in both the Library ofSultan Qaboos University and also the Library of the National Defense College.He also has experience in local development, management and quality managementprograms. Dr. Ali Al Balushi is a member of Omani Academic AccreditationAuthority and the Quality education in Oman since 2010. He is also a member of TheArab International Foundation for Education Development, based in the HashemiteKingdom of Jordan.
 
Dr Basma Al Baharna
 

Dr. Al-Baharna is Senior Director at the Directorate of Higher Education Higher Education Reviews (DHR) at the National Authority for Qualifications & Quality Assurance of Education & Training (NAQQAET) in the Kingdom of Bahrain. She joined the Authority in November 2009 and has since participated as Review Director and Panel Member in several institutional and programme quality reviews of higher education institutions in Bahrain. Dr. Al-Baharna is currently chairing the QQA Strategic Planning Committee and is a member of the QQA Academic Committee, QQA Excellence Committee and QQA/HEC (Higher Education Council) Steering Committee. She is also actively involved in the capacity-building activities in quality assurance related issues conducted by DHR.    Prior to joining QQA, Dr. Al-Baharna was the Director of the Biotechnology Programme at Arabian Gulf University (AGU) in Bahrain.  She first joined AGU as a lecturer in 1991; in 1998, she obtained her Ph.D. in Bioscience and Technology from the Institute of Graduate Studies and Research at the University of Alexandria.  She was promoted to Assistant Professor of Biotechnology in 1999 and consequently appointed as the Biotechnology Programme Director in 2002.  During her affiliation with AGU, that spanned 18 years, Dr. Al-Baharna was actively involved in the University’s various activities as a member of the ‘President’s Consultancy Committee’, the ‘AGU Publications and Branding Committee’, as well as Academic Committees of the Biotechnology, Environmental Management and Laboratory Medicine Programmes.    The current professional interests of Dr. Al-Baharna include Quality Assurance, Higher Education, Strategic Planning, Organizational Change and Knowledge Management.

 
Prof. Diane Meehan
 
Professor Diane Meehan is an Emeritus Professor of Liverpool John Moores University. She was Dean of the Faculty of Technology and Environment at the University from 2002-2014 and finally retired in 2016 after secondment to the Office of the PVC (Education). She was previously Director of the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences at the University from 1998-2002. She has also worked for Teesside University, North East Wales Institute of HE (NEWI – now Glyndwr University) and Liverpool Polytechnic. Professor Meehan has had extensive experience of quality assurance both within the universities in which she worked, for example chairing validation/review panels and externally as an external examiner and external subject specialist on validation/review panels for other universities. She continues to act as an external subject specialist for universities in the UK having undertaken over 10 validations/reviews in the past three years.  She was a UK Bologna Promoter from 2005-2008 and participated in a Hussain Fund for Excellence/UNDP project for developing review methodologies in the Sudan and Jordan in 2002/3. Professor Meehan is an experienced reviewer for the UK Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) having undertaken over 60 audits/reviews in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland and internationally (in Greece, China, Oman, Bahrain,. Eire), around 12 degree awarding powers scrutinies as well as several of concerns investigations and appeals.  Her roles in Higher Education have involved considerable international activity including in China, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, UAE and Ghana. She is also an approved external auditor for the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Council (QAC). 
 
Dr. Naser Sarhan
 
Dr. Naser Sarhan is an Assistant Professor of Meteorology at King Faisal Air Academy, Royal Saudi Air Force. He was the head of Aero-science unit and director of the Scientific Studies Evaluation and Development Committee at between 2007 and 2012, and currently is the head of the curricula department. He worked as a full-time consultant at the Education Evaluation Commission, the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation (NCAAA) since 28/01/2012 until 01/02/2018, and as committee member for establishing the Military Education and Training Evaluation Commission in Saudi Arabia, November 2018- December 2019 . Dr. Naser holds a PhD in Numerical Meteorology graduated from University of East Anglia, School of Environmental Science (2007). He holds a Master of Sciences in Meteorology (2000), and a BSc in Meteorology (1996), from King Abdulaziz University, Department of Meteorology. He has been involved in quality assurance and accreditation in Saudi Arabia since 2012. These work activities included his career work as a senior accreditation consultant at the NCAAA and the ministry of higher education. He provided the academic support and accreditation consultations for many of the higher education Institutions/Programs, and he managed the NCAAA Accreditation processes for several external reviews processes. He Serving as a chair/member of multiple review Panels for University/Academic Programs accreditation and to evaluate the TVTC Colleges “Vocational” Programs in Saudi Arabia. He also provides many of the NCAAA training programs and workshops for the external Reviewers and for the HE institutions. In addition, he attended many of the local and the International Conferences on Quality Assurance in Postsecondary. Dr. Nasser has been actively involved in several scientific researches in the field of aeronautical meteorology and environmental Sciences. 
 
Dr Shakir Al Musili
 
Dr. Shakir Al-Musili received a B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Baghdad, in 1981 and worked in the adhesives industry as a Production Engineer for several years. Joined the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Loughborough University of Technology-UK, as Teaching and Research Assistant in 1986 working towards his Ph.D. degree, which was awarded in 1991, specializing in the field of Power Electronics and Machine Drives. Between 1992 and 1997 Dr. Al-Musili worked as Engineering Director establishing and managing the operations of the Bonding Pastes Industry in Amman, Jordan. In 1993 and until 2000 he also worked for the Faculty of Engineering at Al Isra Private University, Amman-Jordan, as an Assistant Professor, where he served as Head of the Electrical Engineering Department between 1994 and 1998. Dr. Al-Musili then moved to Canada and joined Schneider-Electric, Mississauga, Ontario, as a Research Engineer during 2001-2002 working on the design and development of a Programmable DC Protective Relay unit. In 2002 he joined the Ministry of Manpower, Muscat-Oman, first as Dean of Al Musanna College of Technology and, in 2010, as Dean of Nizwa College of Technology where he provided leadership for pedagogical development and delivery of various disciplines in Engineering, IT and Business programs.  Between 2011-2021 he worked as Technological Education Expert with the Directorate General for Technological Education, Ministry of Manpower, and then the University of Technology and Applied Science, Muscat-Oman supervising the design, delivery, and evaluation of effectiveness of programs and curricula, and advised in the areas of Strategic Planning, Training Needs Assessments, Leadership Training, Performance Management, Development of Legislations, Policies and Strategic Planning. Since the inception of the Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education (OAAAQA), he was involved as an external reviewer and participated in auditing and institutional accreditation of many Omani higher education institutes and was involved in the development of the Oman Qualification Framework (OQF). Since August 2021 Dr. Al-Musili is still engaged with the (OAAAQA) as a freelance higher education reviewer based in Dubai-UAE.
