Dr. Adel Abdulrahim Kamal
 
Dr. Adel is currently the Director of the Quality and Excellence Centre at the Arabian Gulf University. Previously he was an Academic Consultant at the Directorate of Higher Education Reviews of the Education and Training Quality Authority in the Bahrain. Prior to that, he was the Director of knowledge based Business Incubator Centre and the Chairman of the Department of Computer Engineering at the University of Bahrain. He also taught at Monash University International (Melbourne, Australia) as the subject coordinator for computer software courses.He earned his PhD from the Department of Control Engineering in Biomedical Computer Applications and his MSc in Microprocessor Engineering from the University of Bradford, and his BSc in Electronic Engineering from The City University in London. He also completed a Graduate Certificate in Education from the University of Leeds.He has served in several committees; being a member of the Academic Committee of the Higher Education Council, the secretary of the Steering Committee for the Higher Education Improvement in Bahrain and a member of Engineering Qualification Appraisal Sub-Committee at the Ministry of Education. He is currently a member of the Higher Education Council’s Accreditation Committee, as well as the IKNS and Alia Boards. Moreover, he participated in program accreditation and served as either a review director, chair or member of the review panel in institutional and program reviews, for a number of Quality Assurance authorities. He also served as a member of the assessment, moderation and quality assurance panel at Monash International in Melbourne, Australia.
 
Dr Ahmed Al Abri
 
Dr.Ahmed Al-Abri is currently Dean of the Institute of Health Sciences (IHS), Ministry of Health (MoH) Oman. He graduated with a Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography from IHS in 1992 and obtained a BSc and MSc in Medical Imaging from the University of Bradford, UK in 1999 and 2001 respectively.  He completed a Masters in Medical Education from Dundee University, UK in 2004.  He received his Doctorate of Education from the University of Sheffield, UK in 2015. He worked for 2 years after graduation (1992-1994) as a basic grade radiographer and then as in-charge radiographer for 2 years (1994-1996). Following this he joined the IHS as clinical tutor trainee for a short period before continuing his studies.  Following the graduation of MSc in Medical Imaging he worked for two years as assistant Sciences tutor. He has taught Radiographic Sciences, Clinical Education and he has been heavily involved in curriculum evaluation and development, educational needs assessments, developing continuing education for radiography profession. Dr.Ahmed currently also serves as Board Member of the Recruiting Committee for Radiographers at Ministry of Health, MoH Continuing Education Committee for Radiographers and founder of Oman Association for Radiographers. Dr. Al-Abri has presented in a number of national conferences, seminars and workshops and has conducted several educational and professional workshops and seminars for IHS faculty and radiographers in Oman. His research interests are in curriculum development, professional development of radiographers and risk management in Radiology department.
 
Dr. J. Joseph Hoey
 
Dr. J. Joseph Hoey, IV is Vice President, Accreditation Relations and Policy at Bridgepoint Education.  His responsibilities include regional and specialized accreditation, strategic planning, assessment of student learning, institutional research, and academic program review. Dr. Hoey is Past President of the Southern Association for Institutional Research (SAIR), Chair of the Association for Institutional Research (AIR) Professional Development Services Committee, and is both a frequent speaker and presenter on assessment, evaluation, and accreditation issues at regional and national conferences.  Dr. Hoey has served as a workshop presenter since 1999 for the SACS annual conference and as an invited presenter at the SACS Summer Institute since 2003.  He serves on accreditation reaffirmation teams for SACS and WASC. His background includes development of an institutional effectiveness function at the Savannah College of Art and Design since 2006, eight years as the founding director of the Office of Assessment at the Georgia Institute of Technology, a prior five years in University Planning and Analysis at NC State University, and seven years in the North Carolina Community College System.  His published research encompasses engineering program assessment, graduate program assessment, academic program review, building trust in assessment processes, alumni and employer feedback, validating student engagement research, community college transfer, and evaluation of online academic programs. 
 
Dr Sulaiman Mohammed Al Balushi
 
Dr. Sulaiman Al-Balushi is Dean of the College of Education (CoE) at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) in Oman. He is also Chair of the Academic Accreditation Steering Committee at CoE. He graduated from the University of Iowa in the USA in 2003. He has published several research papers in local, regional and international refereed academic journals. He also co-authored different books, textbooks, training books and book chapters. Dr. Al-Balushi has participated in several international conferences around the globe. His research interests focus on science learners’ cognitive abilities, mental models of natural entities and phenomena, imagination at the particulate level of matter and their beliefs and evaluation of the scientific models. He has reviewed different research manuscripts, book chapters, grant proposals and promotion applications.
