Prof Basim Muftin Badr Al Shammary
 
Professor Basim Muftin Badr Al Shammary is a language expert with a PhD in Linguistics and Translation, MA in English Language and Linguistics, BA in English Language and Literature and a Cambridge Diploma in IT Skills.  He is also a Certified British Council IELTS Trainer.  Prof Basim has a long association with quality assurance in Oman, having been a writer involved in the Oman General Foundation Program National Standards project between 2006 and 2007 and subsequently being included as an External Reviewer (ER) for the General Foundation Programme Quality Audit (GFPQA) on the ER Register of Oman Academic Accreditation Authority (OAAA) since 2015. Prof Basim has also contributed to OAAA as an external reviewer of translations. With an in depth knowledge of the higher education sector in Oman, Prof Basim has contributed to activities such as developing the Strategic Plan (2015-2020) and a large number of policies for the Colleges of Applied Sciences (CAS) in Oman. Currently, he is the Director of the Continuing Education and Information Technology Centre at Al Nahrain University in Iraq. 
 
Dr Hilal Abdullah Al Hinai
 
Dr Hilal Al Hinai is the General Manager, Corporate Support Services, Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Company (ORPIC).  He was formerly the General Manager Commercial and Corporate Affairs of Sohar Aluminium Company, Oman.  Dr Hilal has a BSc in Military Science from the Staff and Command College in Oman, a MBA from Durham University, UK and a Doctorate in Business Administration from Hull University, UK.  From 1983 to 2000, Hilal`s career rose from Officer to Commanding Officer for the Engineering Maintenance Wing at the Ministry of Defence.  Hilal`s successes include the establishment of the aviation technician training programme for the Royal Air Force of Oman that enabled the Air Force to achieve a 70% nationalisation programme in less than 13 years.  From 2000 to 2001, Hilal consulted for the Al Suleimani Group, an organisation inovlved in oil, gas and aviation logistical services.  During this period, Hilal was responsible for restructuring of Al Suleimani in Oman and Dubai`s Jabel Ali Free zone, as well as the implementation of a unified Human Resources system across the group.  From 2001 to 2007, Hilal was Project Director for Oman`s Ministry of Defence where he led and managed a multi-cultural and multi-disciplined team of 40 members in establishing the US$1 billion Technical College for the Ministry of Defence.  In his current capacity as General Manager Commercial and Corporate Affairs,  Hilal was instrumental in ensuring that 55% of Sohar Aluminium`s monthly spend was spent in the local community as well as the development of a well defined Social Corporate Responsibility Framework whereby Sohar Aluminium contributed to the sustainability of a stable social and economic environment.  Dr Hilal has authored a number of papers on organisational development and globalisation and is a member of the British Institute of Management Consultancy.
 
Dr Ibrahim Al Harthy
 
Dr Ibrahim Al-Harthy is an Assistant Professor in Psychology Department in the College of Education at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) and earned his Master’s and Doctorate degree, Major in Educational Psychology at Kent State University. Currently, he served as the Director of Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance Unit (AAQAU) and the Deputy Chair of the Accreditation Steering Committee (ASC) of the college between 2013-2016. Dr Al-Harthy has published several research papers in local, regional and international refereed academic journals and has participated in several international conferences around the globe. His research interests focus on memory, metacognition, and motivation. He has reviewed research proposals, conducted several workshops, lectures and presentations inside and outside the university. Dr Al-Harthy is also a member of an international editorial board, different professional organizations and committees inside and outside the university as well.
 
Major General Mohamed El Shenhaby
 
Major General/ Mohammed Mohammed Al Shinhabi grew up in Alexandria and graduated from College of Warship, with lieutenant rank in the Armored Weaponry in 1976. He served in the Armored Formations in the front line/ bloc and was nominated to go with the delegated group to USA to study the technical use and field maintenance of the wireless devices that are used in the Western fighting tanks and got Diploma degree and first position with honors in 1981. Major General/ Mohammed worked as a teacher in the Armored Weaponry School for four years and worked in different leading positions and got his Master Degree in 1988. He worked then in the Staff divisions (Rukun) and operation positions until he became Major General of Operations and Rukun (staff division) of war operations/ armored troupe then Commander of Tanks Battalion. After that, he was nominated to participate with the delegation to Military Academy in Syria and he received his Associate Degree in 1993, then joined Nasser Military Academy and received Associated Degree of Warship College in 1998. He recieved Associated Degree of Royal Defence College in London in 1999 and was assigned to lead Armored Battalion until 2002. Later on he worked as Chief Rukun of Armored Troupe and worked in leading positions until he became the Vice Director Manager of Leaders and Staff Divisions College (Al Moqatel), and was promoted to the rank of General Major in 2006 and was assigned to be the Director of Armed Forces Strategic Studies Center.  During his military service, he was honored with many medals such as the second degree of the Republic medal, long service medal, good model medal, excellent service medal, October war medal, Golden jubilee medal for October war, and second degree of military duty medal.  Major General/ Mohammed participated in many conferences such as Strategic Importance Conference for Energy, and Gulf Security and its effect on Arabic National Security Conference in Abu Dhabi, and African Colleges for leaders Conference, and he was the head of Syria, Jordan, Turky, and Yemen college delegations, and the head of Egyptian delegation in Greece from 2006-2008.  When he retired from military service, he worked as a delegated member of Falcon Company for Security Services which was on the top of Forbes Assessment of the Middle East Security Companies in 2012 and received the Quality knight medal in 2013. He worked as a reviewer and consultant for the security plans of the United States offices and Zewail University. He was also a member of the assessment committee of the Bachelor program of the Military Science and Administration College in Abu Dhabi University in Cooperation with leaders’ college (Al Moqatel) in 2013.  Based on his previous experiences, Major General/ Mohammed is looking forward to do more private studies on how to evaluate and design administration, military and civil academic programs in a format that suites creating and developing quality studies for military sciences, which reconcile with the international needs and measurements that are used.
 
Prof. Mohammed Alsubu
 

Mohammed Alsubu’ was born in Jenin, Palestine. He attended Jenin High School and received his university degrees; Bachelor & Master of Science in Chemistry at the University of Jordan, Amman, and PhD in Chemistry at the University of Florida, USA.  Being a professor in higher education for over 30 years, Mohammed has published over 40 research papers and books on quality assurance in higher education and several disciplines. He was the Head of Accreditation & Quality Assurance Commission (AQAC)/ Ministry of Education & Higher Education. He has participated in a number of national and international conferences/ workshops in the field of education quality assurance, and he is a member of several national and international associations.
