Dr. Casimir Ignatius
 
Casimir Ignatius has been with the English Language Centre, Nizwa College of Technology for 20 years.  He is a PhD in Applied Linguistics and he has done research in Bi-/Multilingualism and English Language Teaching in India. He has presented 20 research papers on Innovative Approaches to ELT such as ELT Curriculum Development, Independent learning, Teaching Technical Writing to Engineering students, Designing ELT materials, and Language Maintenance /Shift/Loss in several national and international seminars. He has developed a new paradigm for Teaching English as a Second Language, which is known as The Interface Approach to ELT. He has taught a wide variety of English Language courses such as Introduction to Phonetics, Sociolinguistics, ELT, and Advanced Writing in English to the graduate students of Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and Advanced Writing, Reading, Technical Communication, TOEFL, and IELTS to the Omani students of Nizwa College of Technology. He worked as the Head of Section-English Language Curriculum and Teaching Methods from 2004 to 2020 in the English Language Center/Nizwa College of Technology. Additionally, he worked as the Quality Assurance Officer-Academic from 2018 to 2021.  He was an External Examiner for several M.A Dissertations of the Department of Education, Sultan Qaboos University, Muscat, Oman. Moreover, he was an Overseas Examiner/ adjudicator for several Ph.D theses from different universities in India. He has been on the panel of external reviewers of OAAA since 2009 and he was one of the external reviewers for GFPA Audit of A’Sharqiyah University, Ibra, Oman in 2017.
 
Dr. Hala Deeb Obaid
 
Dr. Hala Obaid currently works as a Senior Review Director/ Consultant/Advisor, Academic Affairs at the Directorate of Higher Education Reviews at Education &Training Quality Authority (BQA) in the Kingdom of Bahrain. She has acted as a Review Director for several institutional and programme quality assurance reviews for all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) operating in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Since 2018, she has been selected by The Oman Academic Accreditation Authority (OAAA) to act as a chair for several General Foundation Programme audit visits in Oman, as well as being an external moderator. She also works with The German Accreditation Agency (AQAS) in auditing College of Arts and Social Science at Sultan Qaboos University in Oman. She has presented several workshops conducted by BQA to HEIs covering areas related to writing effective self-evaluation report, reviewing processes for both HEIs and auditing panel, institution and programme review frameworks and training local reviewers. Her PhD Degree is in Linguistics from University of Essex, UK. Her thesis tackled issues related to effective Business English Writing, employability skills and bridging the gap between industry and academia by focusing on lifelong learning skills and genre analysis from professional and linguistic aspects. Prior to joining the BQA, she was the programme coordinator for all Business English courses offered at UoB. Her interests are around enhancing quality assurance in HEIs, genre analysis, and enhancing students’ writing skills and lifelong learning skills to easily inject them in to the workplace.
 
Dr Heidi Krzywacki
 
Dr. Heidi Krzywacki works as a university lecturer and researcher in mathematics education at the Department of Education, University of Helsinki, Finland. She has worked also as an associate professor in Malardalen University in Sweden in 2013–2015. She earned her doctorate from University of Helsinki in 2009. Her doctoral thesis focused on the process of becoming a teacher during pre-service mathematics teacher education, which was conceptualized through professional identity of teachers. Her research has focused on mathematics education, especially on teaching and learning primary school mathematics and teacher education. Recently her research interest has been on curriculum materials, especially the interplay between curriculum materials and teachers in mathematics classroom in cross-cultural contexts.Heidi Krzywacki has acted as an expert member in international development and assessment projects, such as HEI ICI project (Improving teacher´s in-service training in higher education in Peru, 2013-14), external evaluation and support of curriculum reform of basic education in Jamaica (2017), and latest collaboration for development of  teacher training in SNU (Somali National University, 2021-21). Heidi Krzywacki was also a member of the working group on the reform of the Finnish national core curriculum for pre-primary and basic education mathematics in 2014 (Finnish National Board of Education). 
 
Prof. Raymond Harbridge
 

Professor RaymondHarbridge was appointed Dean of the Faculty of Law and Management in January2004. Previously he had been Head of the Graduate School of Management withinthe Faculty. He joined La Trobe University in 1999 from Victoria University ofWellington, New Zealand where he had been Director of the Graduate School ofBusiness and Government Management. He holds a Higher Doctorate in Law fromVictoria University of Wellington and a Master of Arts and Bachelor of Artsfrom the University of Auckland.   Histeaching has been predominantly at the post-experience level (mainly MBA)focusing on employment relations and people organisation issues. He has been afrequent contributor to Executive Education programs.  He has consultedextensively in the international arena (acting as a consultant for theInternational Labour Organisation and the OECD); on Government policy and inthe private and public sectors. He has provided expert evidence In NewZealand’s Court of Appeal on a number of occasions.   He has led a major research project in NewZealand funded in part by the Foundation for Research Science and Technology.This project has reviewed the effects of labour market reforms and thederegulation of employment institutions.  He has published more than 65refereed journal articles and numerous book chapters and conference papers.
