Highly experienced professional, having worked in academic, research, administration, quality assurance, information technology, and computing in higher education as well as industry for over thirty years; Serving in various leadership positions in both public and private sectors, including Dean of College of Economics, Management and Information Systems at the University of Nizwa, Head of Department for Information Technology at the Higher College of Technology in Muscat, Director of Computer Centre at the Sultan Qaboos University, and until recently, Board Member of Directors for Oman Academic Accreditation Authority (OAAA) as well as its Appeals Committee Chair. Collaborated and continue to do so with OAAA, Ministry of Higher Education, and the Kingdom of Bahrain’s National Authority for Qualifications and Quality Assurance of Education and Training, participating in numerous programs and institutional reviews and audits for various higher education institutions. Obtained a bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami, USA, a master’s degree from Florida Institute of Technology, USA, and a PhD from the University of Warwick, UK.
