Everard van Kemenade (1953) started as a university lecturer at two bachelor programs, one in Healthcare and one in Social studies, provided by Fontys University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. From there he developed himself to curriculum development. As such he led several curriculum development programs for the development of new studies in Healthcare and Social Work at Fontys. In the eighties of last century accreditation became mandatory in the Netherlands. He moved from curriculum development to quality management of higher education. He became quality manager of the Department of Health and Social Work. He acted as project manager, auditor and consultant on Quality Management in HE. His popularity increased and he was asked to audit and consultant Higher education organisations all over the world. He worked on quality management systems, in countries like Yemen, Egypt, Syria, Ghana, Oman, Tanzania, VietNam, Romania, India. He decided to increase his knowledge in Quality Management in education and took his Ph.D. on Certification, Accreditation and the Professional in Higher Education from the Rotterdam School of Management. The last five years until August 2022, he was lecturer and researcher on quality management at the Master of Integrated Care design at the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht. He wrote several books and articles for TQM Magazine, Quality in Higher Education, and Quality Progress (see appendix of CV). He is director/owner of Van Kemenade Audit Coaching and Training. As such he educated hundreds of people in quality surveying. His motto is: because excellence in the end is a personal journey.
